Zane was born in late 1987 to a middle class family.  Growing up, Zane had a passion for baseball.  When in middle school, Zane was one of the top pitchers in Illinois.  He went to the state tournament 2 years in a row only to come back early.  In high school, Zane's athletic ability decreased as his cultural background increased.  His sophomore year, Zane joined the "Speech Team" which traveled around the area competing against other school in different speaking events. 

Savage quickly rose to the top and by his senior year was one of the best speakers in the state of Illinois.  After high school, he was offered a full ride scholarship to the junior college with the top speech program in the nation.  Zane turned down the scholarship due to the constant traveling the team does around the United States.
